ProJeCt’s mission is to “build a better community by helping people help themselves.” We believe that education is the key to fulfilling our mission, and offer a comprehensive system of services in order to help people learn, plan, and build productive lives. With the support of donors and community partners, we harness the power of education to break the cycle of poverty. Sadly, thousands in the Lehigh Valley are not ready to participate in and benefit from the many resources our communities have to offer. Too many children enter school unprepared to learn; youth drop out of school because they cannot keep up. Many do not even consider higher education possible, and so jobs go unfilled because applicants do not have the requisite skills. People remain in poverty because they are unable to find help that goes beyond temporary solutions.

ProJeCt focuses on creating long-term, measurable, and sustainable solutions to poverty. Our programs educate clients how to build action plans, acquire essential life skills, and put themselves on a path to break the cycle of poverty. ProJeCt gets people ready to succeed in work, school, and life, by giving them the skills, knowledge, guidance, and support they need to achieve their goals.
